Amplify Credit Union Names First Chief Administrative Officer
Katrina Cuoco will oversee Amplify’s risk and information security departments in her new role
AUSTIN, Texas – Today, Amplify Credit Union announced the promotion of Katrina “Kat” Cuoco to the role of Chief Administrative Officer. This promotion recognizes Cuoco’s sterling track record with organizational compliance and restructures the credit union to meet an ever-changing marketplace head on.
“To be successful, credit unions need to pay close attention to the areas where risk an opportunity overlap,” Kendall Garrison, Amplify’s Chief Executive Officer, said. “Bringing our compliance and information security teams under one roof gives Kat the latitude she needs to keep up our organization’s aggressive pace while avoiding speed bumps.”
While serving as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance, Cuoco worked across departments to ensure that regulatory requirements were being met at every level of the organization. “Before we had a Chief Administrative Officer on the books, Kat was already doing the work,” Garrison said. “She is one of the most trusted voices at Amplify, and she remains the first person I want in a meeting when it comes to thinking through the credit union’s biggest challenges.”
In her new role, Cuoco will continue to oversee the work of Amplify’s compliance and risk management teams while also managing the credit union’s information security department. This new role is especially important for Amplify as artificial intelligence continues to rapidly transform the banking landscape. “How and where the credit union continues to leverage AI remains one of the most important challenges of my career,” Cuoco adds. “I’m grateful to have the team’s trust, and I look forward to bringing our departments closer together so we can remain nimble in face of opportunities and threats.”
Cuoco originally joined Amplify in 2022 after years of industry experience in the risk management space. In addition to her work at the credit union, Cuoco also regularly volunteers in with nonprofits in her native Arizona through Amplify’s Community Care Hours program.
