Women's History Month with Kara Pachicano: Payments & Operations Supervisor at Amplify CU
We are celebrating Women’s History Month! We asked women across our organization to reflect on their careers, accomplishments, and what Women’s History month means to them. Throughout March, we’ll be highlighting their answers on our blog and social media channels.
Kara Pachicano started with Amplify Credit Union in 2010 as a Deposit Operation Specialist. With over twelve years’ experience within Payments and Operations, her well-rounded understanding is an outstanding contribution to the team. She enjoys helping others and problem-solving, and is a mom of two silly, on-the-go boys.
We asked her some questions surrounding her career, her experience at Amplify, and her thoughts on Women’s History Month. The following are her responses to these questions.
Why did you choose your profession?
I first chose Amplify because I knew it was family-oriented, but I stayed because I love the people I work with and the culture of Amplify.
What do you love most about what you do?

It’s family-oriented. At the time I was hired on, both my dad and aunt worked at Amplify.
Tell us about a professional success here at Amplify that you’re proud of.
My professional success is BECAUSE of Amplify. When I started in 2010, I was a part-time mail processor within PayOps. Because of the leadership and guidance I’ve received, I’ve grown within the department and am now a leader myself.
