Amplify Fills Over 500 Grocery Bags for Meals on Wheels of Central Texas

Our Continuing Commitment to our “A Safe Place to Call Home” Initiative

Austin, TX – August 22, 2018 – Amplify Credit Union employee volunteers helped Meals on Wheels of Central Texas pack over 500 grocery bags with shelf-stable food items for the HOPE (Healthy Options Program for the Elderly) monthly delivery service for seniors and adults with disabilities most in need of nutritional support.

The team of motivated volunteers organized an assembly line with food items such as canned goods, pasta, cereal, and dried fruit and filled nearly 16 multi-tiered shelving units.

Meals on Wheels of Central Texas delivers daily meals to more than 5,000 seniors in Central Texas, and as part of their HOPE program, they deliver shelf-stable groceries to 550 nutritionally at-risk clients.
