From Community to Credit Union: How Analicia Booth Turns Service into Impact

For Analicia Booth, joining Amplify Credit Union wasn’t just about a career move—it was about continuing a legacy of service. “When I was a child, my mother worked for a credit union. She started as a teller and retired as a collection agent,” Analicia shares. That example planted the seed for Analicia’s own journey, one rooted in community and connection.

As a young kid, she learned what credit unions are all about: people helping people. When the opportunity to join Amplify came along, it felt like a natural fit.

A Heart for Volunteering

Volunteerism isn’t new for Analicia—it’s been part of her life long before Amplify. Today, she dedicates much of her time to Caritas of Waco, an organization that processes more than 11 million pounds of food every year to help families in need.

“What drew me to Caritas was the sheer impact they have,” she explains. “The time I spend at the warehouse gives me the chance to connect with my local community.”

“Handing people food with a smile—that’s what matters most to me.”

Analicia’s commitment to giving back doesn’t stop at Caritas. She also volunteers with I Could Be, a program that pairs professionals with high school students for mentorship. “We get partnered with students based on our education and job experience,” she says. “It’s about answering questions, sharing career insights, and helping them see what’s possible.”

People Helping People

Whether at Amplify or while volunteering, Analicia uses communication and empathy to solve problems, lift people up, and continue building community. She believes companies like Amplify play a vital role in fostering a culture of service. “It speaks volumes about an organization when they allow employees to give back,” she says. “Amplify doesn’t just encourage volunteering—they make it possible.”

When asked about her favorite volunteer moment, Analicia doesn’t hesitate: “Helping people fill their shopping carts with food they can take home to their loved ones or neighbors. Seeing that relief and gratitude—it’s unforgettable.”

She has some practical advice, for those unsure where to start: “Start at your kids’ school or with your nieces and nephews. Teachers can always use a helping hand.” Her message is clear: volunteering doesn’t have to be complicated—just start where you are.

Volunteering as a Way of Life

For Analicia Booth, volunteering isn’t just an activity—it’s a way of life. Whether she’s mentoring students or distributing food to families, her actions reflect a deep commitment to community. And at Amplify, she’s found a workplace that shares that commitment, proving that when companies and employees work together to serve, the impact is immeasurable.
