First, open an Amplify Free Checking Account. Then establish direct deposit to your Amplify Free Checking Account.
Our system re-qualifies members at the end of every month, so your ATM fee reimbursements will begin on the first of the month after your first direct deposit hits the account. Once you qualify, any ATM fees charged to your account will be automatically reimbursed on the very next day.
As an Amplify member, you have the option of linking your other Amplify accounts to your Free Checking Account for overdraft protection.

The biggest difference is that credit unions are owned by their accountholders (referred to as members), whereas banks are owned by shareholders that own company stock. When it comes to making business decisions, credit unions make those decisions with their members and accountholders in mind, and banks tend to make decisions that benefit their shareholders.
When it comes to products and services, both credit unions and banks typically offer checking, savings, money markets, term certificates, auto loans, personal loans, and mortgages, as well as amenities like online and mobile banking, debit cards, and BillPay.
Credit unions tend to offer better rates on their deposit and loan products and lower fees overall for account services like overdraft protection, wires, and official checks. And in terms of positive impact on the local community, credit unions beat banks by a long shot. Read more about How Credit Unions Help You and Your Community.

Whether domestic or international, wire transfer forms must be completed either in-person at a branch or over the phone with a service agent. Wires over $20,000 require additional documentation, therefore it is recommended those be completed in-person at a branch.
