Texas Legal Protection Plan, Inc. (TLPP) is a non-profit organization established by the State Bar of Texas in 1972 to offer legal coverage to qualified groups at an affordable rate.
Coverage: The TLPP plan includes coverage for matters ranging from simple advice and consultation to divorce, separation or annulment; wills and estate planning; name change; consumer protection; adoption; defense of a misdemeanor charge; defense of a civil charge; defense of a criminal charge; defense of insanity; defense of DWI; defense of a traffic charge that could result in loss of license; juvenile court proceeding (family coverage); and bankruptcy.
Attorney Selection: You have complete freedom in choosing your attorney. There are three ways that you can access an attorney: 1) The Legal Hotline, 2) Participating Attorneys, and 3) Non-Participating Attorneys. TLPP provides unlimited toll-free telephone advice and consultation on covered matters from a Legal Hotline law firm. TLPP also has over 1,100 Participating Attorneys throughout the state. When you go to a Participating Attorney for a covered matter, the legal services are paid-in-full and TLPP pays your attorney. If you choose to go to a Non-Participating Attorney, you will be reimbursed according to the indemnity schedule.
How much does TLPP coverage cost?
The best part is that, as an AMPLIFY member, all of this will cost you just $10.82 per month for individual coverage and $15.16 per month to protect your entire family.
