How to Clear Cache (Temporary Internet Files)
Sometimes when using Online Banking, it may necessary to clear your
browser cache (temporary internet files). This typically becomes
necessary when a cached file becomes corrupted and causes an 'error
in transit' message. See instructions below:
Netscape (most versions)
— clear your cache by doing the following:
- Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences".
The Preferences window will appear.
- On the left side of the Preferences window, click on the plus
(+) sign next to the word Advanced. This will expand the list with
new options.
- Click on "Cache".
- On the right side of the Preferences window, click on the "Clear
memory cache" button.
- Click "OK" to continue. Now, click on the "Clear
disk cache" button and click on "OK" to continue.
- Click "OK" again to close the Preferences window.
Internet Explorer (most versions) — clear
your cache by doing the following:
- Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".
- In the Internet Options window, select the "General" tab
if it is not already selected.
- In the section labeled, "Temporary Internet Files" click
on the "Delete Files" button.
- Click "OK" to confirm the delete.
- Click "OK" again to close the Internet Options window.
Firefox / Mozilla — clear your cache
by doing the following:
- Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Options".
- In the left-side menu, select the "Privacy" icon.
- In the main section, click on the "Clear" button next
to the Cache entry.
- Click the "OK" button to close the window.
- Click "OK" again to close the Internet Options window.
