Scammers Flood Austin with Scam Email

We've received several reports of a fraudulent email sent to thousands of Austin residents. This email is NOT from AMPLIFY. If you have called the number listed below and shared personal information, please call or visit any AMPLIFY location so that we may assist you in stopping any attempts at identity theft.

The email we've received reports about reads like this:

Dear Customer

This email has been sent per your request.

An Unauthorized person has tried to log in into your account from a foreign IP address.

For security reasons your debit card has been deactivated.

Please contact the Information Center at (800) 679-5822 to activate your debit card

Please do not reply to this email. This mailbox is not monitored and you will not receive a response.
