New Name, New URLs!

With the change to AMPLIFY, you may have noticed that our web address changed too. We are now www.goamplify.com! While the www.ibmtefcu.org address will continue to direct you to the new site, it would be best if you change your browser bookmarks / favorites to use the new address.

Online Banking

If you log into online banking from the main website, great! You are all set. If, however, you had bookmarked the https://ezonline.ibmtefcu.org address, you need to change it to https://www.goamplify.com. If you try to use the ibmtefcu.org domain, you will get 'transit error' and security warning messages and will not be able to sign in.

Quicken Transaction Downloads

If you use Quicken software to download your transaction information, there is a change you'll need to make in order to connect to the AMPLIFY server. From the Quicken Online Help site:

Quicken maintains information about which financial institutions offer online services with Quicken and how those services work. This is referred to as branding and profile information. Quicken checks for updates to branding and profile data every 48 hours. If your financial institution has recently merged or made other changes to the online services offered in Quicken you may need to manually update the branding and profile information for your financial institution.

If you are unable to wait 48 hours to automatically update this information, you can force an update by disabling online services for your account and then enabling them again.

1.  Disable online services for your account.

2.  Enable online services for your account.

Are some of your accounts failing to appear in the list? The Quicken software limits how many accounts you see when setting up the online services to 5 or 6 (depending on the version you use). If the accounts you want to use are not listed when you connect, set up the accounts you see in the first download - even if you have to create dummy Quicken accounts - then initiate another download. If you had to create unwanted Quicken accounts, delete them once the accounts you want are successfully set up. This seems like a strange solution, but it is the one recommended by Intuit!

Do you have a 4-digit PIN? It has come to our attention that members who have the older 4 digit PIN for Online Banking are getting a PIN-related error when they change the name from IBMTEXAS to AMPLIFY in the Quicken software. This is because the Quicken software checks the PIN length to see if it complies with current standards on the AMPLIFY server. For increased security, we changed the minimum PIN requirement to 6 digits some time ago, but did not force existing users to change their PIN. However, since all new PINs must be a minimum of 6 digits, the older 4 digit pin fails this test in the Quicken setup. You will need to log into Online Banking, choose 'Change Password' and change your password to one that uses at least 6 digits.

Still not connecting? We've seen some instances where Quicken 2007 for Windows does not update the list of financial institutions to include Amplify Federal Credit Union, or even if it does list Amplify it tries to connect to the old URL. If you have this version and are still getting OL-297A errors, Try this:

Launch Quicken and go to the Online Center. Use the [CTRL] + [F3] keys and click the Contact Info button. Highlight IBM Texas FCU (or Amplify Federal Credit Union if listed) and click Refresh. Close Quicken and restart, then try to enable your account for online access.

If you are using Quicken for Windows 2007 and get 'out of memory' errors, you probably need an update to your Quicken software. More information (and the update) is available on this Quicken support page.

If you are using Quicken for MAC and I get OL-249 or OL-238 errors, you'll need to do the one step update, then disable / enable your accounts as detailed above.
