I was a member for 13 years prior to applying for a job at AMPLIFY. Like other long-term members I’ll admit that I was nervous about the name change and worried about MY credit union becoming something “more bank-like”.
I not only liked the changes, I LOVED them. I saw everything I liked about my credit union made better, more efficient, AMPLIFIED, if you will. Since starting in January 2007, I’ve discovered that not only does AMPLIFY encourage its members to “Bank Less, Live More” -- it also encourages its employees to do so. AMPLIFY empowers its employees to make a difference in the community, not just in the workplace. That’s just one of the things that makes me really proud to work here.

When I say I love my job, I mean it! I’ve never said that before working at Amplify. I’ve been working for about 10 years hadn’t yet found my niche: the right environment, positive people, great company culture.
I saw an advertisement on hotjobs.com for a position with Amplify (formerly IBMTEFCU). It sounded interesting and I applied even though I wasn’t familiar with Amplify. I had a good phone interview with Ms. Voigt and made the cut to come in for an interview. The Friday before Christmas, I met with the Senior VP of Retail and the Executive Assistant. I was instantly charmed. I left the interview and went home to my friends and family and told them all about Amplify. I told them that even if I didn’t get the job I planned on joining the credit union because I was so inspired by just meeting briefly with Mr. Cardenas and Ms. Connolly.
The day after Christmas I was offered the job and happily accepted. I have been nothing but, I hate to say it, blissful, ever since. I was given excellent training that explained AMPLIFY’s company culture and how we strive to create WOW moments for our members and for each other. I’ve been given the freedom to do my job and to go above and beyond when needed. My boss and coworkers know what I’m capable of and trust me to get things done.
The benefits are amazing, as are the people.
In 2003 I made a list of all the things I was looking for in a job. I found that list shortly after coming to work here and every single item on my list has been fulfilled. Working at AMPLIFY truly has allowed me to Bank Less and especially to Live More.

I love working for Amplify for several reasons, but the biggest reason is the people I work with. Some have come and gone in the 5 years I've worked here, but everyone here is fun to be around and they help make work fun. Now, with all the changes we’re going through, it’s a new adventure every day.

I have been here a long time as I would consider it, and I am so thankful we have not lost our family feel. I love that the credit union operates as one big family. We come together to celebrate the good, and we pull together to help during the bad. Rarely do you find such a large group of individuals with common goals and genuine compassion for each other. We accomplish a lot because we unite as one big family. All for one and one for all!
