What People Say About You Behind Your Back
is Your Standing in the Community -- Edgar Watson Howes
For the past several months, we've asked the people who visit us at AMPLIFY:
"What do you tell other people about AMPLIFY?"
Here's what they had to say -- good, bad and in between -- word for word. We'll keep posting more as we get them.

That last year, Amplify changed names, decor and entire set-up, no longer resembles a place to transact financial business IN PRIVATE, and is no longer a good steward of my money.

- This is not what I would say to friends, but on my last visit (on a Saturday) I was told another department would call me on Monday regarding my transaction, and it is now the next Sunday and I have not heard from anyone!

- We have been members since 1985. Today I needed to deposit a check written to S. signed over to me and they refused to deposit the check. After calling S. and waiting they finally agreed to deposit the check into my account.

- Feels cold and formal; not friendly and casual. Can't figure out this "beyond banking" pitch; just give me good, competent, competitive, friendly banking.

- You can get better rates elsewhere.

- I would tell them not to come to your bank with over $1000 cash 5 minutes before you open to deposit it in your business account, because they won’t let you in. First time I’ve seen a financial institution, that has business accounts, open at 10. It is more convenient for me to drive 10 miles into Austin to bank, which leaves me to believe it is more convenient to have a local bank catering to my business needs.
