What People Say About You Behind Your Back is Your Standing in the Community -- Edgar Watson Howes

For the past several months, we've asked the people who visit us at AMPLIFY:

"What do you tell other people about AMPLIFY?"

Here's what they had to say -- good, bad and in between -- word for word. We'll keep posting more as we get them.

MIXED COMMENTS

  • There is no branch in central Austin, where I live. Great to see new branch offices being opened, but it's time for one IN Austin. Cheers.
  • It’s an ok bank.

  • It is convenient. My only suggestion would be make sure you have done your homework before talking to someone other than those you deal with in deposits/withdrawals.
  • Up -to-date looking.

  • The layout of the teller/counter is too open and does not allow for privacy. I'm sure this has to do with security, but I wish there was more distance between the tellers.
  • Although Amplify seems to have a competent and courteous staff, I can get better savings rates on MM's and CD's elsewhere.
  • I'm indifferent..

  • Amplify is a good bank, however finding which ATMs you can use, and where they are is a bit challenging.
  • Sometimes the wait is a little long. The informal setting takes a while to get used to but transactions are handled very well.
  • Cosmetically, I agree that the amplify credit union is a marked improvement from the former IBMTEFCU. However, I recognize that the money to pay for that came from the other services offered. For example, I've noticed a marked difference in the mortgage rates. I used to find AMPLIFY a significant advantage when it was IBMTEFCU. I cannot make that same statement. That aside, this merely means that I find it in alignment with other banks instead of surpassing it. When comparing with banks of the same quality, at least I get some water on my way out ;) so this is why I continue to return to AMPLIFY.
  • Most of my transactions are handled properly. I was opening at UTMA account and the information was not well known on how to do that.
  • The La Frontera layout does not provide much privacy.

  • I had a good experience this time but there are many mistakes made at the drive thru (putting in wrong accounts, changing the balance and not telling me). I really think that those kinds of mistakes are really important so therefore I couldn't recommend Amplify for a good banking experience and how your money is handled.
  • It's a very strange credit union looks like a car rental place when you go inside.
  • As of now minus the debit card confusion, I do not know enough about this credit union to make any fair judgments about services.
